It’s funny how things happen. How an opportunity to go see an amazing one of a kind gig at a beautiful venue in your country’s capital just falls into your lap. I was barely aware of Iggy Pop’s Post Pop Depression tour and then all of a sudden I had landed myself a ticket to his show at Royal Albert Hall. Not only was I going to see a musical legend, no matter how leathery his stomach, Josh Homme had something to do with it and would be on that stage, doing what he does best (and oh my did he do it well).
First of all, apologies for how late this post is…at least it’s just about within the first week of June, right? I had initially started this post with a much longer list, but by the time I got through them I realised that it was mostly just a list of all the things I bought/enjoyed throughout the month so I narrowed it down to the following items that really stood out. Just imagine that I was listening to Iggy Pop’s Post Pop Depression album with each item, because that was most likely the case. I tell you what I’ll feature one of my favourite songs from the album at the end, enough said.
So I was looking back at my portfolio and realised I never posted my review of Beach House’s Depression Cherry, which is a damn shame because I absolutely ruddy loved it. I did this while Noise Cannon was still going, here’s the original link (although the website may look a bit of a mess where it’s been neglected…) https://noisecannon.com/2015/08/27/beach-house-depression-cherry/
So here you go, and keep an eye out for a few more posts to come from my work at Vulture Hound.

So this “Favourites” post is a little later than I’d normally prefer, still, better than nothing! I haven’t really had the chance to buy many nice things this month as any money that I’ve had has gone into paying rent for two places, fees for the new place and just generally staying alive. However, I have been lucky enough to try a few lovely things either by chance, or by earlier purchases that I’ve only now allowed myself to use, or as a gift from a friend…
