I recently reviewed Jen Gloeckner’s new album VINE for Vulture Hound and was fortunate enough to be sent a free copy of the record on vinyl, which clearly made me very happy.
Not too long ago, I was introduced to Meadowlark, a Bristol based duo with a sweet pop sound steeped in emotion. Having recently announced the upcoming release of their debut album (30th June), I took to Vulture Hound to feature the title track, ‘Postcards’ as Track of the Day.
It has been a while since I’ve connected to an album as strongly as I did with Tashaki Miyaki’s debut LP, The Dream. As soon as this album was put forward to the Vulture Hound team for review, I just had to take it. Dream pop? Shoegaze? Yes please. That’s my thing. Even one of the editors said he would have put at least £20 down on me taking it. I can only assume that, as a music journalist, being predictable in terms of music taste is a good thing, right?

Just a few days ago I was introduced to Bruno Major, a songwriter with smooth vocals and brooding rhythms. I was immediately captivated and knew I had to feature him on Vulture Hound straight away.
