It is no secret that a lot of my cosmetic essentials all year round come from Lush (my absolute #1 being Ultrabland facial cleanser), but I thought I might talk you through some of my all time favourite products for summer.
I have decided to create a little monthly roundup, featuring my general thoughts on life, current favourites (products, people, bands…whatever) and well, just about anything else that comes to mind. Here goes!
This month I wanted to get back to blogging, and I don’t mean just sharing my reviews on here, but actually creating my own, regular(ish) content. One thing that’s important is that I take my own pace and make sure I am doing it for no other reason than the fact that I enjoy it. I changed my theme to help me start afresh, wrote a blog post about self care and now I’m here. I’m happy with that for now.
It’s been a fair few months since I had my first ever spa experience, (let alone a Lush Spa) and I think I ought to finally tell you about it all.
5th April 2016
It’s a sunny day in Poole, the Dorset town in which Lush was born 21 years ago. Its quaint little high street, matched with the stunning quays make for the perfect back drop for the most relaxing day of my life. The time between my train arriving and my treatment beginning offers me the opportunity to explore Poole, and take in its peaceful energy, yet there’s that little bit in the back of mind that’s anxious about the idea of a full body massage. Is it going to be weird? Am I wearing appropriate pants?
September may have been the month in which I spent more money than I should have done. Mind you, there are absolutely no regrets. I saw the month through, all while treating myself and having a great time. Worth it. Anyway here’s some of my favourite bits and pieces…
Here’s a short and sweet selection of my favourite bits from August. Enjoy!
Let’s ignore the fact that I’m freaking out about June already being over, that 2016 is going so quickly, that so many changes, good and bad, have occurred, and I’ve still got so much more to look forward to. I’m currently working on my blog a fair bit, experimenting with layouts and what not, so bear with me while I try to figure out ‘the look’. Anyway here’s my favourite bits from June!

First of all, apologies for how late this post is…at least it’s just about within the first week of June, right? I had initially started this post with a much longer list, but by the time I got through them I realised that it was mostly just a list of all the things I bought/enjoyed throughout the month so I narrowed it down to the following items that really stood out. Just imagine that I was listening to Iggy Pop’s Post Pop Depression album with each item, because that was most likely the case. I tell you what I’ll feature one of my favourite songs from the album at the end, enough said.
Let’s say for now that there’s no particular order to this top ten. Also this is not necessarily my definitive top ten. From time to time I will definitely have a different set of favourite Lush products but these are the items I will keep on coming back to. My babies. My ten true loves. (But oh do I love a lot of Lush.) Continue reading “Top 10 || Lush Products”
With a scent reminiscent of biscuits Aqua Mirablis is a body butter from Lush, a quirky little product that acts as a two in one. Just scrub it over your body in the shower after washing and the ground almonds shells will exfoliate while the cocoa butter moisturises.
