SINGLE REVIEW: High Tyde – Karibu

Brighton boys High Tyde are set to release their latest single ‘Karibu’ on July 14th two weeks after the release of the track’s new music video this Monday (June 30th).

The video follows the lads enjoying the sun and sea on a day out in their hometown with various people holding up placards that read the song’s lyrics, offering the feeling of community and everyone being in it together. Along with the catchy tune it ensures that those words stick firmly in your head.

The song itself holds a softly upbeat spirit and whether it’s done on purpose or not it’s as if you can hear the sea’s waves flowing through the plucky guitar riffs, a gentle reminder of High Tyde’s roots. A delightful track that follows all the indie standards topped off with vocals that though delicate, hold a hint of something a little more edgy.

Following Karibu’s release the band will be playing some shows at the end of July including a slot on the Introducing Stage at this year’s Redfest which takes place in Surrey.

Tour Dates:

July 18th – BRIGHTON – Bermuda Triangle (limited tickets left)
July 19th – LONDON – 229 Shoreditch
July 20th – GUILFEST
July 25th – REDFEST
August 21st – LONDON – Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen
