Gone Girl

Though lengthy and heavy going, every second of Gone Girl is as worthy as the next, captivating the viewer rather than sending them to sleep. With twists and turns all over the place, just as you think it can’t get any darker it goes that extra mile. By no means an easy ride this film encapsulates the male gaze in an astonishing fashion with a complex, yet well executed story line that takes manipulation above and beyond morals, leaving you questioning whose side you’re on. Chilling and thought provoking, Gone Girl will linger in your mind for weeks; one of the most memorable films of 2014 by far.
