The Big Moon || VH Artist of the Week (14/11/16)

If you’re up to date with my monthly favourites (or my constant tweets), you’ll know that I am absolutely head over heels in love with a gorgeous little band called The Big Moon. For this reason, when it came to my turn for picking Vulture Hound’s latest ‘Artist of the Week’, there was no better fit. Perfect timing too, seeing as they have just released a new single and announced that their debut album, Love In The 4th Dimension will be available next year. Just the other day I was wondering how long it’d take for an album to come into existence, and just like that, my wish has been granted. Must be the magic of the super moon this week!

I was also secretly amused because when writing the feature it took me a while to think of a certain word, which just so happened to be the name of their new single:

‘Formidable’ is a great taster for what is to come in April; a perfect encapsulation of the band’s ranges. The main lyrics are catchy as hell and though it starts off quite tame, there’s an energy that pushes through with great power, leaving us in soooo much anticipation for the album. I’ve already requested a pre-order as a Christmas present, bought the single on iTunes and listened to it perhaps a little too much… Check it out for yourself and don’t forget to take a peek at my feature over at Vulture Hound:
