Not too long ago, I was introduced to Meadowlark, a Bristol based duo with a sweet pop sound steeped in emotion. Having recently announced the upcoming release of their debut album (30th June), I took to Vulture Hound to feature the title track, ‘Postcards’ as Track of the Day.
It is a single that spoke to me immediately, it is something for everyone to relate to, and to further emphasise this, the duo are creating a music video using ‘postcards’ featuring personal messages from anonymous listeners/fans. Though the cut off date for the music video has passed, there is still an opportunity for your own message to feature in a gallery on the official Meadowlark website.
What I particularly like is the fact that the final release is a recording of the original demo, so there is a real sense of their emotions coming through the track. Read my full feature here:
