It has been nearly a week since Superfood released their absolute belter of a second album and I still can’t get enough. I hadn’t written anything in a little while and wanted to get back on track with it all. I think it’s safe to say that the press release for Bambino came just in time.
Admittedly, I hadn’t really listened to Superfood extensively before, just heard their name from friends whose music tastes I trust. Their previous work had totally been up my street, but was never quite enough for me to fall in love with them. However Bambino woke me up and got me really interested.
This new album is so exciting, with a brand new sound that is difficult to pin down, and that’s what absolutely sells it for me. It is perfectly crafted, non stop fun and quite possibly the best album to come out this year. Check out my five star review over at Vulture Hound:
